Lo Romero Golf, 09.02.2023

From February 6th to 8th, 2023, Lo Romero Golf hosted the third stage of the European Golf Pro Tour. This edition was well received, with around 50 players from 16 different nationalities playing three days of very high-level golf, with up to three players achieving a total score of -13 after the regulation 72 holes of the tournament.

After an exciting finish, the good level offered by the participants led to this edition being decided in an exciting three-way playoff, between Irish player Patrick Keeling, Scottish player Darren Howie, and Northern Irish player Jonathan Caldwell. The impressive 18th hole of Lo Romero Golf, the island of Spanish golf, was the first test that the three players faced. However, a tie in the birdie putt of the Northern Irish player prevented the sudden death from ending.

The 9th hole of the Alicante course, where the second part of the playoff took place, eliminated one of the participants, leaving another exciting double tie, this time between amateur player Patrick Keeling and Northern Irish golfer. Finally, it was the 1st hole, the third step of the playoff, that crowned the winner, Northern Irish player Jonathan Caldwell.

In this way, Lo Romero Golf successfully concludes the third of the four events that have been held on Spanish soil, with Hacienda del Álamo Golf, Roda Golf, and La Serena Golf being the other three venues for this 2023 edition.
